In PPT,what do the arrow options function?

I am trying to have all writing functions work in real time while in
slideshow mode.
The 'highlighter' leaves a trail in real time, but not in the selected
colour, and in light colours, not at all. No other function leave any trail
on the working screen, until the popup menu is activated -- and then all show
up !!
I am using Wacom tablet, newest drivers, with XP MEC. The same tablet works
with my desktop, but misfunctions in this aspect on the new laptop (DELL
INSPIRON), which has XP MEC.
Any ideas ??

Check the Dell website, under Support, for an updated Video Driver. New laptops
are not usually shipped with the most current drivers for graphics cards.

My Wacom tablet works fine on my Toshiba Media Center laptop.
