In publisher 2003, how can I get my hyperlinks to be underscored?

I have done everything according to Publisher. My hyperlinks end up with a
pound sign next to them on the web and are not underscored. How do I get
them to be underscored which most people are familiar with.

Perhaps you are not using web safe fonts? Reference the following article,
