In Publisher, can you turn off collating?

We have switched printing machine from Copystar to Konica. Person using mail
merge in Publisher now gets full job stapled instead of each set. Machine
rep wants to know if there is a way to de-select collating within Publisher.

That would be a printer setting. Have you looked at all of the printer
settings?

Yes, the machine tech has consulted with multiple other techs about those.
Thank you, I'll pass this along.

One other follow-up question, please: Since you mention those versions,
would an upgrade to Publisher 2007 eliminate this issue for us? Thank you.

Last time I checked that would make things worse. In Publisher 2002 and
2003 you can adjust a registry entry to change the batch size. In
Publisher 2007 this option was inexplicably removed, and the batch size
is now non-adjustable.

This is the sort of thing that scares me when a product (any product) has
been "improved".

Probably because it wasn't "fun" and "exciting". <mutter, mutter, mutter>
