In Word 2003, how do I view the graphics in a .doc file made with.

I just purchased a new computer on which Office 2003 was installed. Before
purchasing this computer, I used Office 2000 programs to create my documents.
Having moved my documents to the new computer, I attempted to open an old
Word 2000 file which includes many jpeg and bitmap image files alongside the
text. The text opened just fine, but the pictures mostly did not open. I say
'mostly', because when I first open the document, I can see part of one
picture, but when I scroll down, I cannot see any others, and if I return to
that first picture, I can no longer see it.

This computer has far more memory and a faster processor than the old one,
so it shouldn't have any trouble loading these pictures. What could be the
problem?

Hi Alux,

Right click on the Windows desktop, turn the graphics
card acceleration down at least two clicks (or to none)
then start Word and open the file and see if the graphics
are there.

If so, then you may have an Intel chip based graphics card
and you'll need to download an updated graphics card driver
for it. In some cases it's from the Intel site, others its
the PC or card makers website.

FYI I had the same problem with my "new" Dell. The answer my Bob Buckland
dirested me to the problem, I updated my Intel graphics chip set with new
drivers and the problem was corrected. Thanks Bob!!!
