In Word 2007 Ribbon Vanished

Clave

I downloaded Office 2007 Beta and it worked great for 4 days. Now in Word
when I open all of a sudden the entire Ribbon (on top of the page) is
missing. Top of page has is ruler - nothing more. I tried clicking where
Ribbon was before to reset Ribbon, nothing. I re-booted, no Ribbon. I even
removed the program, delated temp files and re-downloaded entire 2007 Word
Professional suite at a cost or $1.50 (no big deal but I already had it for
free) and re-installed. When I opened Word - SAME PROBLEM. All other programs
in suite work fine and have Ribbon (Toolbar) on top. PLEASE HELP.

CTRL+F1 doesn't help?
How about double-clicking on any of the ribbon tabs (e.g. Home)?

Patrich:

Thank you for your reply. It did not help. There is no Hme Tab or any other
tab. The entire top Ribbon is gone. At the top of the screen is the ruler
that I can add or remove using a button on top right corner of screen
(nothing more). If I click on top of screen I get a window thao pops-up that
says, "PAGE SETUP". CTRL+F1 does nothing. I even tried deleting complete 2007
Suite and re-downloading and the same thing happened. It was working when
forst set up for a few days. Thanx.

Please take a screenshot. Then type msinfo32 into Start, Run and choose
File, Save (this will take several minutes). Zip up the resulting file
and email it to me with the screenshot please. You can get my email from
my website.
At least three other users have reported this problem, and I'd like to
submit it to Microsoft, so that they can take a look at it.

Thanks,

Yes:
1. Close Word and Outlook
2. Start / Run and type regedit
3. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
4. Rename this key
5. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options
6. Rename this key
7. Restart Word

Rename the keys to something else. It's similar to deleting them, but if
something goes wrong, you can get them back if you just renamed them.
