In word make locked field so the cursor will move between fields

I believe I'm working in word 2003 - I have been given a document that
requires locked fields that need to be grayed out. The cursor should move
between fields utilizing the tab....Help!

Try going to Tools/Protect Document and protect the document for "Filling in
Forms". Is that what you are looking for?
