Switching machines, so how do I inactivate Office 2003 so I can use it on
another computer?

Hi Karl,

There isn't a deactivation method. If you have a retail edition install it and use the Activation by phone method if you have any
difficulties with a retail edition. If you have an OEM edition, the license is to the machine its on and generally, you won't be
able to activate it on a new machine.

You don't. If your copy of Office is a full retail version, just install it
on your new computer. You may have to select the telephone activation option
and explain the situation to someone. If Office came with the other
computer, you can't. The license is tied to that system.

Thanks! I have the retail version of 2003 to install on a laptop, and will
install Office XP on my desktop.
