Inactive Resource Affects

Do changes in the custom fields of inactive resources have any affect on
previous work in current projects? I would like to remove the labor category
(custom field) on these resources in order to further segregate them from the
active list - our server list the resources in labor category sequence.

My concern is, would this have any bearing on previous work accomplished by
the resource? I'm running MSP 2003 server pro.

Yes, particularly if you're talking about Outline codes that are dimensions
in the cube. As the cube is rebuilt periodically, the change in values would
apply through all time in the system.

Glad I asked. I'm assuming this should not have an effect on anything other
than knowing this person was a labor-cat 1, as the cost are entered
seperately - correct?

It will affect work and cost along that dimension. Without knowing how you
use the data, I can't say whether that's a good or bad thing.
