Inbox is not available

We are running exchange 2000 on a windows 2000 network and
one or two of our users are experiencing a problem with
their inbox not being available.
When they open their Outlook the inbox is not available,
but when you view the Outlook bar and click on sent items
the standard Outlook tool bar becomes availabe, they click
on New Mail Message and send them self an email the Inbox
becomes visible.

Any Ideas
