inbox messages dissapear after 2 weeks outlook 2003

I cannot keep my messages in the inbox for more than 2 weeks. They seem to
dissapear but I don't if the are being deleted or are being filed someware.
There must be a setting for how long messages are kept but I can't find it.
Plese help

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, BCsteamer asked:
