Inbox Preview

Hi,

I know opening some spam email automatically downloads stuff from a web site
and in the process tells the sender you are 'alive'. Presumably the same
happens in Preview Pane? I thus always turn off Preview Pane before I see
what is in my Inbox and delete the unwanted. But do the spams link to the
web site even with Preview Pane off?

Thanks

Jack

No, they don't. If you have Outlook 2003 or only receive Plain Text mails it
is save to turn on the Preview Pane. Outlook 2003 blocks Internet pictures
by default.
