Are you perhaps filtering your view? You don't say what version of Outlook
you're using, but try clicking on View > Current View. What should be checked
is Messages.

Kathleen,

I'm experiencing the same thing. In Outlook 2007 with BCM, new e-mails come
in and the Inbox line in Folder view shows the number of new e-mails but they
are not visible in the Inbox and Preview pane. I have to physically click a
different folder in the Folders List then return to the Inbox and the
messages are then visible. It is very annoying
