We use Project Pro 2002 with Project Server. When publishing task
information to Server (Collaborate, Publish, Re-publish assignments) there is
an option to become the manager for the tasks you are publishing. We have
found that this allows us to have different managers for different tasks,
meaning different managers receive the updates from Team members, depending
on the task being updated and who is designated the manager for that task.
We can display the manager for each task by including the “Assignment
Manager†field in the Resources – View resource assignments screen. The
problem with this approach is it's time consuming to view the settings for an
entire project when you can only view the information by resource, since not
all resources are assigned to my project. Is it possible to display that
same field in a project view, rather than a resource view?
