Include Component Error

J

JCO

I've seen this many times now. I open my html file in design mode and get
this error for (ironically) all components that are included (top, bottom
and left)

Couldn't open file "C:\Documaents and settings\...\Temporary Internet
files\FronpageTempdir\90d8c198.htm"

I check that the include has the correct page and it does. I check to make
sure, in design mode, that the include statement is the first thing in the
body and the last in the body (for top and bottom includes). What does
this. It is making wonder if I've made a mistake choosing the include over
shared boarder (which has already been a headach and a half).

Added Info:
I clean out my temp folder and it seems to have solved my problems. I can
only assume that a temp file was corrupted???

Nobody has yet figured out what the problem is. I know that when I receive
the error, I keep hitting okay and when the error goes away, I refresh the
page and all is well.

Yeah, I tried all that too, but without success.
When I realized that the error was pointing to the Internet Temp file, I
simply deleted that directory.
That seems to work very well. Just don't know if it will reappear again
(which most likely will).
Thanks Tom

That worked a few times but not this latest. I even deleted it and
reinstalled the component without success. Read what I just said to Tom
(above). It seems to be a more lasting solution.

Seems to be a microsoft component issue. Hope they can resolve it.

I always clear the Internet Temp Files, and sometimes it works, sometimes it
doesn't. We've been working with MS on this issue.

Not that this helps, but I use includes and have yet to have the problem with either 2002
or 2003.
I have had a couple of instances where I opened a page with an include and the include
didn't appear, but I just clicked the refresh button and it opened fine.
