INCLUDETEXT field Code

I have a merge document that is using the INCLUDETEXT field Code. Th
code works fine and shows the text from the document, but sometimes th
first few words are bold. I can do a select all and correct it, but i
will happen each time I open the main merge document.

Should there be any formatting at all carried over from this source
document?

Look at the IncludeText field: does it contain a \* Mergeformat switch?
If yes, try deleting that and see if it helps.

If it doesn't, or if there is none, try using a \* CharFormat switch at
the end of the field, instead.
