Incoming e-mail repeating itself

I am using Outlook 2003. What would cause the same incoming e-mail to keep
repeating itself? I have now over 200 copies of the same e-mail. Every 15
minutes a repeat comes through. Is it the sender's problem or mine? How can
it be fixed? Thank you. Connie

Do you have your anti virus program set to scan email?

Email scanning on Anti Virus software for each separate computer?

: Yes. This is our company e-mail. Well protected.

Okay. Using email scanning on your AV cause this problem in many cases.
You need to disable it. You will still be protected. Please note: simply
disabling the email scanning will not necessarily stop it. You would need
to uninstall the AV, and do a custom install with no email scanning.

: Yes. I receive many e-mails per day. Only this one repeating itself.

I fail to see the reason for doing this. In over five years, this has never
happened before. This is happening only with one sender, one e-mail. Can
you explain why only one sender's e-mail is doing this? Would it mean that
the sender has a virus?

You need to search these newsgroups for many discussions on this.
It sometimes crops up on one machine and not others. If you want to
continue receiving duplicated emails, that is your decision.
