Incoming Mail Problem

JoAnn

We recently purchased a new computer, and I have been
having a problem with receiving my mail on one of my
accounts. I always get the following message & I have to
manually receiving my incoming mail & enter the password
each time I manually receive.

"There was a problem logging on to your mail server. You
need to enter a password. (Account mail.optonline.net',
POP3 server: 'mail.optonline.net', mail Error
number:0x800ccc92)."

I've tried countless times to get Outlook to save my
password, but no luck. I tried Detect & Repair, still no
luck. I am running on Windows XP Professional and the
other accounts on the computer are not having the same
problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
