Incomplete Recalculation

Jan Miller

I have a 5mb file with 66 interconnected worksheets. The file retrieves data
from Hyperion Financial Management and then provides summary reporting of
actual, plan and forecasted data for all months in the current year and out 5
years. Because of the size I have recalculation set to manual and then
select F9 or Tools/Options/Calc Sheet or Calc Now to perform a manual
recalculation. My problem is that even after pressing F9 or going through
the Tools menu all of my cells are not recalculating. I have tried
highlighting all of the tabs and then all of the cells on the tabs and
recalced. Some cells still don't change until I press F2 as if to edit and
then hit enter. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

Have a look at what Charles Williams writes about Excel's calculation engine
and its pitfalls:
