Inconsistent formatting of section numbers

In the document I am working on, I have configured headings to be numbered. However the way the heading names and numbers for level 2 headings are formatted is inconsistent, as you can see from the screen shot. 7.4 is more indented than 7.5 and 7.5 has a bigger gap between the number and the text. However when I compare the formatting in the Reveal Formatting pane, it tells me that there is no difference between the two. How can I make the formatting of the numbered headings consistent?
