Incorrect characters

Following reinstallation of Windows XPPro and Office 2003 after a crash of
my spare computer for some unknown reason I now get some wrong incorrect
characters from the keyboard e.g. instead of £ I get / and instead of @ I
get &. ect.ect. Is there a way of correcting this in any way?

Hi Zygy

Check your keyboard is set up as a UK one (keyboards across the world have
slightly different configurations when you get beyond qwerty): start menu ->
control panel -> regional & language options -> keyboard.

Hi Lucy, Many thanks. I cannot imagine how I missed this option, whilst
reinstalling Windows and Office.
