I have an access 2000 formatted database that uses a link
(using an odbc) to an AS400 table. After creating the
link in Access 2000, the records and table structure
(namely the data types) are correct.
However, using an access 2002 database, linking to the
same as400 table causes the data type to revert to "text"
in the linked table, for some, but not all of the fields
set to a "number" data type.
I have attempted to use a 2000 formatted database in
access 2002, but it still is incorrect. Also, we have
verified it is not a single system, but any system which
has access 2002 installed. All access 2000 installs are
not impacted by this. Any suggestions?
