incorrect start time for all appointments

Hi All
I have a newly installed 2003 Outlook/Calendaring with the following
problem.
All appointments have as the starting date and time the current date and
time.
No matter what I do I can not change the start time. This is a standard
setup with no exchange server.
I am totally in the dark why this is acting in this way. Has any one seen
this problem and better still what is the fix for it.

Quick answer...

If you don't care about losing all your views customisations, run Outlook
with the /cleanviews switch.

Longer answer...

View > Arrange by > Current View > Customize Current View > Fields

Under "Start and End Fields", Start should have Start specified, End should
have End.

If that doesn't work then it sounds like the view is corrupted - try View >
Arrange by > Current View > Customize Current View > Reset Current View.

If that still doesn't work, it's back to the first option - run Outlook with
the /cleanviews switch. (Instructions for using command line switches are in
Outlook online help - search for "command line switches".)
