Increase rows & columns icons

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I created a customized toolbar that included the increase row & increase column icons. However, these 2 icons remain dimmed on the toolbar & cannot be used. The delete row & column icons work just fine, as does the insert cell icon.

Try Control/Right-Click each of the buttons & select Reset Command.

If that doesn't resolve it make sure Office is fully updated (11.5.6). Do
the same for OS X (10.6.3), repair disk permissions & restart your Mac...
It's pointless to chase symptoms if anything isn't current.

BTW - Perhaps you just like buttons :) but are you aware that you can
simply Control/Right-Click a Row or Column Heading (or any given cell ,for
that matter) & choose Insert? There's also the Control+I keystroke.

CyberTaz, Thanks for the help. Your answer made me reconsider what I really needed on the toolbar. When I was working & using excel extensively, I had several customized toolbars to help me work more efficiently with fewer keystrokes. Now that I'm retired and only using excel for personal work, I really don't need to work like that. Although the icons are still not working, it really doesn't matter since I've removed them.
