increase the maximum size limit of PST

PST files get corrupted when there over 1GB, can microsoft increase the size
limit on PST files?
and no I dont want to archive my e-mail

For Outlook 97-2002 the limit is 2GB. For Outlook 2003 it is 20GB by default
but can be made larger.
