increase the number of "switchboard" menu options

I'm using access 2003. The switchboard has a limit of 8 entries per "page".
Is it possible to increase the number of menu options per page.
Thanks,
Dan

No, but you do have a couple of options.
Have the last entry on a switch board page open the next page.
Create your own form and have as many options as you can fit on it.

Thanks Klatuu, I'm already doing option 1, but it gets a little awkward
having to split related functions. I guess option 2 may be the best
alternative.

Good information, Jeff. I guess I don't know that level of detail about
switch boards because, as I said, I don't like them and don't use them. Why
not just create a form and use it? That way, you can do anything you want.

Hi Klatuu,

You'll get no argument from me that building your own main form is much more flexible than the
built-in Switchboard Manager. However, a lot of people do use this utility so that is why I created
that FAQ page because of all the questions that arise from using it. That page is actually one of my
most heavily visited Access pages.

Good site, Jeff. The Switchboard is one of those "Training Wheels" features
of Access. It has always been my opinion that Access is full of features to
help the beginner get off the ground. The problem is, some people never get
beyond them.

I also believe this is why Access has a negative reputation among many IT
professionals. They see weak applications developed by amatuers and judge
the quality of the product rather than the competence of the developer. I
sometimes wish for an Access Professional version that leaves all the junk
out.
