First try a repair on FP (Help - Detect and Repair)
- then see 1& 2 below
Then in Tools Page Options Code Formatting and select Reset
- in prior versions of FP its Tools Page Options Html Source
- select Reformat using the rules below and unselect Allow Line breaks
(if you have not modified this to add line breaks to tags)
Open your page in Code/Html View and right click to Reformat Html to see if it remove all the extra line breaks
You can also try the other usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Run a Repair on IE

4) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
5) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
6) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

thousands of blank lines added in the middle. Today I had code to line 180 then the next line was at line 97335. Norton Anti Virus
scan says I have no viruses.
