my local drive shows index page as htm while my published index page shows
html.
Is this right?

Yes. FrontPage and the server automatically change the extension to that
required by the server when you publish.
So, rename your local index.htm to index.html and let FrontPage update all
of the links.
Next time you publish everything will be "In Sync" no pun intended.

Hi Oxy,

It depends upon the http daemon that is being used by your WPP. Some require index.htm others default.htm or even home.html

When you publish FP is intelligent enough to change the of the home page for you.
