Infinite Pagination

I am having this strange problem, where whenever I go to cut and paste
sections of my document around in the same document body, word will
start automatically adding thousands of blank pages. It seems like
this is happening when I take paragraphs from different pages, but how
can I make this stop?

What you are describing is a symptom of document corruption. You could try
copying the whole document except for the final paragraph mark into a newly
created document.

To display paragraph marks (¶) as well as other nonprinting marks, press the
¶ button on the Standard toolbar (Word 97-2003) or on the Home tab (Word
2007-2010).

For more on document corruption, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm.
