Info missing after "paste" spreadsheet

I often place an Excel spreadsheet into Pagemaker, using copy and paste.
Lately, although the full spreadsheet appears on the Pagemaker page
onscreen, when I print, certain column headings are missing. The same thing
happens when I try to save directly to ".pdf" format.

I assume this is some kind of postscript error in Excel, but I can't
troubleshoot it, and it's driving me crazy.

First, what version of XL (including updates), what OS version, what
printer/driver?

Are you copying an entire ("full") sheet, or only a selection?

What does "column headings are missing" mean to you? Do they simply not
print, or are other headings shifted over?

Is there any pattern to the "certain" column headings that are missing?
