I been searching for an answer on return types but only found one webpage
that discuses my problem :
Data connections contain parameterized queries.
I connect to a web service that returns items with 5 strings. In Infopath I
can reference each item by item[1] item[2] item[3] etc.. When I post to a
Infopath forms server on sharepoint I get a major error that breaks the
connection with the message.
The following expression could not be parsed because of a syntax error or
because it uses an undefined namespace prefix or unsupported function:
xdXDocument:GetDOM("getUserInfo")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/ns2:getUserInfoResponse/ns2:getUserInfoReturn/tns1:data/tns1:item/tns1:item[1].
