Hi,

I am using Infopath 2007, I have a Drop Down list box control in which I
decided
to get data from Form's data source and for that I selected List box entries
"Look up values in the form's data source" in Drop Down list box properties.

Also I have given the path for repeating group and field.

When I run the Infopath I got one more blank item in the first index of Drop
down list box.

Can we remove this blank item from drop down in design mode or
programatically.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

Change the dropdown to a text box first. Then go to the text box
properties and add a default value of 'Select..' or something else.
Click ok, then change it back to a dropdown. The dropdown default
will now be whatever you made the text box default value.

Hi Animesh Kr. Singh,

I use InfoPath and have the same problem: I need to replace the first empty
item of my dropdown list, by another value.

I have tried to change the dropdown list to a text box first, update the
select value and change it back to a dropdown list (the solution proposed by
gmanwis)... But it's doesn't work...

Have you find a solution to solve your problem?

Thanks,

Samuel
