Hello there!

Has anyone come accross this error message before? I'm running a query to a
webservice, and before is displays the result of the query I get this message.

"Microsoft Office InfoPath has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience."

Im running InfoPath 2007 version (12.0.6413.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)

Hey Beezshu,
Could be a bad response from the Web Service but I wouldn't expect that to
crash the app, any more info in the event log?
also are you encountering this issue in preview mode or has the form been
published?

Hey Ben thanks for the quick response!

In the Application portion of the event viewer i get...

"Faulting application infopath.exe, version 12.0.4518.1014, stamp 45428209,
faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2900.3562, stamp 49f7dd1a, debug? 0,
fault address 0x0010b30b."

I searched this error a bit and seams that it's an IE issue not InfoPath...?
Which is weird because I can manually run this query in IIS and never get it
to crash.

Any thoughts?

Hey Beezshu,
Aplogies for the silence of late I was away at a conference all last week.
perhaps try using something like Fiddler to check the responses that are
coming back? that might assist in shedding more light on the issue. This is
not something I've seen before
