I have created a form in Infopath 2007 that is linked to an Access
2007 database. The form is for IT requests and the form essentially
gets submitted to the database where all the information is stored.
The form has drop down boxes- that refer back to another connection to
the same database which houses information for departments, people,
and etc. So essentially every time the form is opened- it queries the
database to produce these values. When I preview the form on my pc-
it works great. The submit button works and everything. When I
publish the form to the network-not a SharePoint Server- I run into a
problem. The error message says that it cannot connect to the
essential database to retrieve the data for the first pull down menu
"departments". I don't understand why it doesn't work. Can someone
please help me b/c this is very frustrating.
The only option I have it to place it on the network- because I need
to be able to submit the data and we are not running a SharePoint
Server.
