InfoPath invoice form to automatically increase Invoice Number?

Anyone know how to get an InfoPath template to automatically increase Invoice
Number for each new Invoice created?

There have been several proposed solutions in this newsgroup where
autonumbering is concerned, so you can do a search on "autonumber" to find
these solutions.

Since this functionality isn't something that has been built into InfoPath,
but is a popular request, it might be worthwhile to cast your vote on this
suggestion:
