Infopath Usage: Few queries before we select infopath for our solu

We are building outlook based application using outlook Addins.
We are calling WinForms from outlook.
We realize that we have few WinForms which are dynamic in nature. To give an
example, for one master record there can be multiple child grid link
controls. It could be more complex, above was just to give an example.

Some of the Winforms should also have Web Interface, so we thought instead
of writing WinForms and Web modules for same Forms and because of dynamic
nature, Why not use Infopath Forms?

Q1. Are we thinking right ?
Q2. What are client requirements for InfoPath?
- For DeskTop
- For Web
Q3. Most of the examples I saw on web, is connected to sharepoint, do i need
sharepoint to use InfoPath ?

Hi

First of all, download a whitepaper I created to show you the
differences between InfoPath Forms and WebForms, as not all features
can be used on WebForms
The Whitepaper can be found on:

Personally I thinkn InfoPath is a good choice and you don't need
SharePoint to show InfoPath Forms as a webform. You need to have
InfoPath Forms Services. Anyway, when using SharePoint and infoPath
WebForms, you need to install InfoPath Forms Services also.

So clients doesn't need to have it, as the service is installed

Can you give me more details what you mean
In SharePoint you can select in the advanced settings of the
Library how to open the Form
In InfoPath you can select the webforms by following the next
steps:
1. OPen your InfoPath Form in design Mode
2. Design Checker under the Design Tasks Pane
3. Select Change Compatibility Settings
4. Select 'Design a form template that can be opened in a browser
or InfoPath'
