Information in 2002 App vs. Project Server

I'ved noticed that actuals entered via PWA seem to make
their way to Project 2002. However, actuals entered in
Project 2002 in, say, Resource Usage view do not find
their way to any of the SQL tables that support the web
based views. Is this just "the way it is"?... or is there
something I can do to make this bidirectional?

When actuals are entered by a team member in PWA, and then updated by the
project manager, those actuals are transferred to the actual project plan in
Microsoft Project 2002. On the other hand, when actuals are manually
entered by the project manager in the project plan in Microsoft Project
2002, the actuals will not migrate automatically to the team member's
timesheet in PWA. In this situation, the project manager will also need to
republish the assignments by clicking Collaborate - Publish - Republish
Assignments. In the Republish Assignments dialog box, the project manager
will need to select the "Overwrite actual work entered by entered by
resources" and then click OK. Doing so will transfer the actuals from the
project plan to the team member's timesheet in PWA. Hope this helps.
