Information Rights Management

I have MS Office Basic Edition 2003. I cannot create restricted permission
using the Information Rights Mangement. There is a "permission" button but
not highlighted. Is the excel from basic edition not capable of doing this?

Make sure that you are the author or have Full Control.

Thanks Gary but I am the author and I have FULL CONTROL. I think I have to
re-phrase my question, is the Information Rights Mangament avaialble only in
professional edition and not in basic edition?

I only have the professional edition on my computer. I hate to do this, but
