Go to Tools-> Options--> General tab
Now uncheck the Check box against Recently used File List.
This will clear the recently used list from the file menu.

Click on the small arrow (tool Bar Options) at the end of the Tool bar
Then select Add or remove Buttons --> Customize
Then in the Commands tab select Rearrange Commands
Then select the Menu bar radio button and then File in the drop down
Then delete the Fill out the form from the Controls
