Hi,
I purchased a mail account from Yahoo to get the POP access. The problem
I'm having is when I open Outlook, I don't get anything e-mail related in the
menus. For example, in tools, there's no "e-mail acconts" option.
I've tried setting up the account through the mail link in the control
panel, and I've even been in touch with my ISP's help desk for the outgoing
mail POP and login info. All of that is correctly entered (according to my
ISP), but when I "test settings," I get an error on the last step (sending
test e-mail.) After all of this, still, nothing shows up in Outlook. I get
an error message that reads: "Unable to open your default e-mail folders.
Could not open the item. Try again." Then, when I click "ok," the next
message is "Would you like to open your default File System folder instead?"
If I click yes, it opens with functions similar to Windows Explorer. If I
click no, the whole thing closes.
Lastly, I tried uninstalling Office XP, and reinstalling it. I used the
default settings for Outlook.
Help please!!
Thanks,
Jason
