Hello
I am a teacher at a high school and I am using PPT 2000.
Recently, my application has begun to hang when seeking to
start it from my desktop. When I double click on the
desktop shortcut to start PPT, it will begin, show the
splash screen, and bring up the program, and then it
hangs. Before this problem occurred the program would
bring up the dialouge screen allowing me to navigate to
previous program files, or select a new file, etc. This
dialouge box will no longer appear, due to the application
hanging as described above.
It may be helpful to note that when I select MS PPT from
the Programs menu the program will hang as well. However,
if I select a previously completed file, or select a file
from within one of my folders or sub-folders, PPT will
load.
My other MS Office applications all work well from the
desktop. It just seems that during the initialization
process the application hangs when attempting to start
from a Shortcut, or from the Program selection itself. Any
and all helps would be appreciated. Given that I am a
teacher, if you could repond back to my email site, I
would get your response quicker, and more immediatly.
