input mask error

I have a msaccess dbase on a network drive. When I open it and change text
in a textbox that holds dates to null all things work great. When I do the
identical same thing on another machine an input mask error is thrown. On
the machine that an error is thrown docmd.setwarnings = false does not work
either. Any clue as to what is happening on the box that is throwing the
error?
