Insert a text box in Word 2003 Headers

I have inserted a small jpg in the header and have also inserted a text box,
when i print preview or print the jpg is printed okay but i cannot diplay or
print the contents of the text box. I am using a text box to enable me to
position the text in relation to the jpg
