Insert an object from Word..should it bring in the headers?

I inserted an object from Word ("Create from file") ..the header had
information that was supposed to be inserted into the presentation. It did
not pull in the headers. Should it have?

It doesn't pull the headers here, either. This must be "by design," because
it's the same way in PPT 2000 and 2003 also. I can't for the life of me
figure out why that would be the case, though.
