I'm working on a word HTML document. I know how to create a hyperlink that I can link to an anchor point in the same page of the document. But try as I may, I can not find instructions on how to create a simple anchor point in my Word doc to link to.

It's amazing that "insert anchor point" doesn't provide instructions on how to do it on this site.

How do I do that? Thanks in advance.

Word calls them "Bookmarks".

Which is actually a piece of sophistry: Word can't actually DO "anchors" and
they are trying to hide that fact.

If you know how, you can code them yourself. Reveal the HYPERLINK's
underlying field code, and add the anchor tag to it. But it won't work
properly in Word.

However, if you use Insert>Hyperlink, go to the Document tab and click
Locate, Word enables you to choose a bookmark as the anchor. That WILL work
in Word and in a web browser...

Hope this helps
