Insert Contact into Word 2007

Been using word for years
Now I'm stumped

Migrated from a reliable and easy to use (+ fast) XP + office 2003 to
Vista + 2007

Now despite trying for 15 mins with office help I can't find out how
to do the most basics of word processing in the dreadful word 2007

To start a letter, the 1st thing you want to do is put in your
contact's name and address

Where is this in word 2007?

Please help

I feel very sad having to ask this

Hi Willie,

Is this a new computer with Vista/Office 2007 or did you upgrade both Windows XP and Office 2003 to newer versions on this computer?

Is Outlook 2007 set as your default email client? Is the Address book set to 'Contacts' rather than 'Outlook Address book'?

Can you use the Contact list there in email messages?

If you start Word in safe mode (hold control key when starting) and insert a contact in the letter do you still crash?

Another way to insert a contact is through the use of SmartTags in your document (also available in Word 2003)
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HP030833041033.aspx?pid=CH060829821033

In Word 2007 you can turn on the Address & Person Name Smart Tags through the Autocorrect dialog (Alt, T, A) and the 'Show
SmartTags' choice in
Office Button=>Word Options

==========

Anyone able to help on this Word 2007 CRASH? >>
