Insert Cross_Reference

Hello,
I use word 2003 and I want to insert a cross-reference in the text, for
example for a Figure.

The Caption is
"Figure 1"

But I want to insert only the number (not the label) in the text.

Is there any way to do it? The only choice I have is "Only label and number"

If I manualy delete the label in the text, when I update it, it will appear
again.
