Insert file -- Word 2010 in Winows 7

I found it in the all-commands to put on the QAT &/or a "custom" ribbon tab,
but where is it if I don't do that? I can't seem to find where it's hiding!
Thank you.

On the Insert tab, click the arrow next to Object, and then click Text from File.

It doesn't make any sense at all, but that's where the command is located in Word 2007 and 2010. :-(

Thank you.
I've been using W2007 & have it on my QAT -- perhaps because I never did
find it in the menus!

(ATM I don't have the computer with 2007 available as it's crashed & being
resuscitated at the BBER, I'm trying to reconstitute my conveniences in 2010
from memory -- and I don't know what 2010 may not even have or be doing
"better".)
