Insert from Scanner or Camera

Such a usefull command in earler versions and now burried deep and forced
to save to a file.

I often used this function and never wanted to save the actual scanned
image.

Now I have to go and clean up and delete any number of files after doing
what I needed to.

Does any one have a simple method to fix or know if this function is going
to be re instated.

Office 2007... Every other version allows you to import directly, but not
2007.

With 2007 you have to go to Insert clipart, then Organiser, then from
scanner, save to Orgnaiser and then insert into the document.

Then you have to go and clean up / delete the file from Organiser.

What a waste of time and effort.

Please bring back the tried and true - Insert from Scanner as a simple
command / selection

After many hrs of searching I have found nothing to get around the issue.


I use this at work to scan from our document centers etc and while I am
starting to like some of the improvements to Office 2007, this one little
change has caused no end of issues. For this reason I have recommended to
our accounts department that as their processes use this function in Office
XP that they do not go to Office 2007.

MS commented that Office did not support enough cameras and scanners as a
reason, if so why does the Organizer then actually have the exact command I
want ??? If the MS issue was the case, you would only be able to import
from a file, that you scanned separately!!!!!

If any one knows of a 3rd party app or where I might go to suggest such an
app, please advise.
