Insert picturei nside a table cell

Please Help,

To place a picture into a table cell I am using the
command: insert/ picture/ form file. Some how I am not
keep a picture inside a table cell. I used all the
function in the layout tab including the advanced function
and the picture seem to move outside the table row or over
the text.

All I want is to have a 1" X1" picture positioned as a
square to the top left corner of a table cell while having
a text beside it and below it.

Is seem to do this before, but now it seem to have a mind
of its own and want to stay part way out side the sell.

How can I tame this animal?

You don't say what version of Word you have, but your problem suggests Word
97 or earlier (since later versions insert pictures In Line With Text).
Right-click on the picture and choose Format Picture (or choose Picture from
the Format menu). On the Position tab of the Format Picture dialog, clear
the check box for "Float over text." The next time you insert a picture,
note that there is a similar check box in the Insert Picture dialog that you
can clear.
