insert Pictures

I am trying to make a photo gallery but everytime that I try to insert a picture it says that this file extentsion is not supported. My picytures are save in JPEG . I am not sure what to do from here.

Do you have a web open and have you imported the image into the current open web prior to trying to
create the gallery?

Make sure the extension is .jpg, and not .jpeg
